Jesse Ramos, who resides in Floresville, is a Vietnam veteran. He received his undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University and his Master’s in School Administration from Texas A&M in Kingsville. During his 37 years as a Texas educator, he has been an athletic director, coach, art teacher and personnel director in Lubbock ISD, East Central ISD and Floresville ISD.
TRTF's Classroom Assistance Grants program is especially important to Mr. Ramos. "It's special to me because it allows the creative teachers to gain financial support for their ideas. As personnel director, I spent many years recruiting quality, creative teachers. I know that recognizing these teachers, benefits them and the students."
"I hope my time as a Texas educator has helped in providing access to quality education for all Texas students of every socioeconomic level and ethnicity," said Ramos. "I also hope that I have communicated to co-workers and acquaintances that education is a path of hope for everyone. I’m looking forward to being a contributing member of the TRTF board."
