Born and raised in Sugar Land, Carla Meuth has spent most of her life in Fort Bend county. Her tremendous work experience includes teaching kindergarten, special education, working with students who have dyslexia and coaching sports activities.
In her personal time, Carla has served as teen chairman and head counselor with the state organization for Texas War on Drugs, helping to organize leadership training sessions across Texas campuses to promote a drug-free environment for all. She has also been a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International for 25 years.
Immediately after her retirement, Carla immersed herself in her local TRTA unit, the Fort Bend Harris Retired Educators. She currently is serving the second year of a three-year term as President of the local unit.
Carla says, "It is an honor to be nominated for membership on the TRTF Board of Trustees. I look forward to meeting these challenges and engage our members to rally around public schools and the ongoing efforts that support retired and teachers now and in the future."
